Seed & Sew Teacher's Guide For Back To School
We've got you, babe.
It's your brain's job to feel scared of the unknown, nervous about what to expect, and afraid of what it all means. Your brain LOVES what it knows and what feels comfortable. Right now, teachers are wading in the unknown and it may feel as if nothing is comfortable. Our team at Seed & Sew has your back in helping you learn new tools for regulating your central nervous system so that you can provide an emotionally supportive environment for the tiny humans you are looking after.
You are not alone in this.
In this free 17-page guide, we will discuss how to best support yourself because we know you can only access your whole brain when you take care of yourself first. Lessons include:
- Self care in the classroom
- How to regulate in order to problem solve
- Navigating classroom changes
- How to create a transition book for your students
- How to make kids feel safe and seen
- And more.
Hi, I’m Alyssa,
and I've been in your shoes. I've worked in classrooms with infants and preschoolers and I know the stress that comes with preparing for a new school year—not to mention during a pandemic. I’m an emotional development expert, small town Vermonter, and podcaster who helps parents and caregivers learn the skills they need to help their tiny humans learn the tools they need to nurture their health and development. I believe deep in my core that it takes a village to raise these tiny humans and no one is meant to do this solo. I love being in your village. We are here to support you with tools to raise emotionally intelligent humans.
