Tune into my interview with my mama

As the only girl with four brothers in a small farm town, I grew up in the village in the traditional sense, grandparents down the street, running in and out of neighborhood houses.  At age five, I could be found walking around with my infant brother in my arms, soothing him to sleep. As the years unfolded this trend continued, caring for multiple children at once in my teen years, supporting single, working moms, and nannying all through college after. I went on to get my master's degree in Early Childhood Education, co-create the Collaborative Emotion Processing (CEP) method, and find my soul fulfilled as I walk alongside folks who are committed to raising emotionally intelligent humans.

Emotional intelligence saved my life. I went from living with anxiety, turning to coping mechanisms to get by, and feeling impatient with and exhausted by the tiny humans everyday to building a toolbox for processing hard emotions and experiences. I learned how to navigate life in a way that didn't leave me drained and snippy by the end of the day.

Now I get to support parents, teachers, and caregivers so it can save others’ too. Want to tackle bullying? Sexual assault? Gun violence? Want to reduce anxiety, and prepare our kiddos for whatever comes their way in this life? That is what we are doing at Seed & Sew; let me pull up a chair for you. Welcome to our shame-free village.

We are a village of  teachers, parents, caregivers
& community members invested in children’s
foundations for navigating this world.
